Monticello Tour

We've never been to Monticello and plan to visit soon. We will purchase tickets ahead to guarantee our tour time. I was wondering, is the regular house tour good enough or would we be better to do the behind the scenes tour? We like history and a physically able to do either. Is the behind the scenes tour worth the extra money?

We thought the "behind the scenes" was really good. We've visited Monticello several times and have done several of the tours, so the first part of the behind the scenes tour seemed a bit repetitive to us. If you've never been, I'd think it would be worth it to you.
