Stargazing at the View

Hello! For anyone who has stayed at the View hotel, I wondered if you could tell me a bit more about the stargazing from your room in the hotel. Was the night truly dark out, or were there lights interfering? Could you see the Milky Way? We have a star view room reserved for late October, but I was just wondering what to expect. Thank you!

You should be fine. A more important factor is looking at impact from the moon. Hopefully you're at or close to the new moon phase. Do look at moonrise and moonset to better calculate out when it will be darkest.

Have fun.

Yes, unfortunately it looks like the moon will interfere. I may just have to get up in the early pre-dawn hour to take a look.
