Dinner between Love Field and Waco

Have a late afternoon flight into DAL. Would like to grab something for dinner on way to Waco.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Depending on the time you arrive and get the car, etc. I'd eat in Dallas and let traffic settle down.

There are people far more knowledgeable than I about Dallas restaurants, but one of my favorite chefs is Stephan Pyle, so I'd go to Stampede 66. His Heaven and Hell cake is ranked high on the list of the best things I've ever eaten. https://stampede66restaurant.com/

Will it be too early for dinner to eat in Dallas? Maybe you'd prefer to wait and eat somewhere in Waxahachie.

The Doves Nest on the square in Waxahachie is really good!

Also, Harris Bar-b-que in Waxahachie is in the top 50 barbecue places in Texas this year. http://harrisbbq.com/

Thanks will check all these out. We will not have traffic as coming in late on the weekend.

Both places in Waxactchie will be closed by the time we arrive.

Will look at south side of Dallas.

The south side of Dallas is not the best part of town, especially at night. You shouldn’t stop between I30 and Red Oak after dark.

I’d recommend looking for a place close to Love Field, or in Waxahachie along Hwy 287.

What about the Desoto area? Saw a couple of restaurants for a quick bite?

DeSoto south of I20 is fine, too. The big thing is just don't stop between I30 and I20.

There are several good restaurants in the Market District of Dallas, just south of Love Field (down Harry Hines or I-35W). Also check out the Trinity Groves & Bishops Arts areas (W/SW of downtown) and The Cedars area (south of downtown).
