Day Trip to the Aran Islands

We'll have one day in early September, 5 or 6 hours based on sailing schedules from Rossaveel, to visit one of the Islands.

Inis Mor or Inis Oirr? Both?

sorry if you only have 5-6 hours you'll have to settle for a short visit on just one of them and that won't be enough :-) ......from Rossaveal probably Inishmore.....even better with your time frame, consider the flight out of Connemara Airport...it's great and the views from above will net you some great photos.....

If it doesnt have to be rossaveal (due to where else you might be) try doolin and go to Inis Oirr. If you meab you will have 5/6 hours on either islan and you know the trip to either is taking the full day then its down to choice only really. Due to its size, you are more likely to get value for your time by going to Inis Oirr also. You could have the entire island covered by bike (http://www.rothai-inisoirr.com) in that time!!
