What needs to be accommodated? Do you need child-friendly activitie? Do you want to eat Thanksgiving dinner out, or do you want to rent a place where you can cook? Without knowing any of that, I will share:
The Calhoun's family of restaurants are always open on Thanksgiving (Calhouns, Chesapeake's, Copper Cellar, etc.). This is a local chain and the food is consistently good. You'll need a reservation. You can also check with Flemings, Oliver Royale, Cracker Barrel and Dancing Bear Lodge (Townsend).
If you stay at a hotel downtown, there are lots of shops, restaurants, bars and galleries within walking distance. The ice skating rink will be up on Market Square and you'll likely be here during one of the indoor holiday markets. Check event listings for the Tennessee Theatre and the Bijou Theatre to see if anything is in town that catches your interest.Edited: 16 October 2018, 20:13
