Dining - moderately priced restaurants

I heard there was a seafood restaurant that was casual, you sit on the dock and they serve the day's catch - name?

Any other suggesitons for a moderately priced meal in Charleston?

Fleet Landing? The food there is ok. People go for the view.

Shem Creek? Same thing.

The best place, IMHO, for a great view and great food (and a little pricier) is Boathouse on IOP.

Maybe they are thinking of Bowen's Island near Folly Beach. Hole in the wall type place, good local seafood, nothing fancy.

Yeah, maybe. You KINDA sit on a dock. I like Bowen's. We should go while oysters are still in season.

No dock and no view but Amen Street Seafood Restaurant in Charleston is outstanding.

I'm guessing you heard about Bowen's Island. After the old restaurant burned down, they used the dock for seating. Now a new restaurant building has been completed, with indoor as well as outdoor seating. Try to get there in time for sunset and snag a table on the the open deck over the water. Bring bug spray.
