Driving from Detroit to Pittsburgh

hi my 10 yr old daughter, my mother and I are driving from Detroit to Pittsburgh and we wanted to stop in for a few hours and see some of the Amish Country. I don't want to go too far out of our way, but would love for my daughter to see it ( we live on the West Coast). Any recommendations on easy to find towns and places to eat?

HI helenelove, Welcome to TA, and welcome to Ohio!

Here is a suggested map with directions: https://goo.gl/maps/EP9p19BYt4J2

I would suggest Mrs. Yoders Kitchen for a meal. They have very good food, both on the buffet, and on the menu: https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Revie…

After eating, head to Berlin, park and walk around, then perhaps visit Walnut Creek, before heading to Pittsburgh.

These routes should be easy to follow, I-75 south to I-280, to the Ohio Turnpike.

Take the Turnpike east to US-250. Follow that past Wooster to Mt. Eaton, where you can take SR-241 to Mt. Hope, where Mrs. Yoders Kitchen is located.

After eating, head south, straight into Berlin.

From Berlin, take SR-39 (stop at Walnut Creek if you want) to US-250 to US-22.

US-22 goes to Pittsburgh.
