Prospective student - dinner restaurant ideas

Touring WF but coming in town prior afternoon. Looking for things to do to get a feel for area plus need ideas for where to have dinner. Staying downtown; prefer local bars, restaurants over chains.

Mozelles is so delicious, we ate there today for brunch. You’ll want to make a reservation - weekends they are very busy.

Trade street downtown is fun to walk and you can shop at Mast General Store with your student. :)

The Porch is hard to find and crowded but also very tasty.

Sweet Potatoes for soul food and Foothills Brewery to watch a game. You’ll see lots of other fun options just by walking around 4th, 5th, Trade and Liberty.

There’s an arcade with classic games called Reboot on Liberty if you need an activity after you eat.

Reynolda Village Shops and Museum are next door to WFU- good place to stroll if the weather is good.

Acceptance letters went to the post office Friday so you’re likely to see lots of future students out and about here, along with current ones.

Happy to answer any other questions.

There are four breweries downtown Small Batch Foothills Wiseman and Fiddlin Fish. Of the four Foothills is

the only brewpub. The others have food trucks which are usually posted on facebook. Your options for dinner are many. You might consider the tavern at old salem. Hope this helps
