Camping at Standing Indian Campground in a few weeks

We will be camping at Standing Indian Campground for 2 nights in Mid October. We will have all day Saturday to explore and would like to see some beautiful fall color, hike, and see waterfalls. What area should we go to for all that?

Thanks

These 2 are about 10 minutes from the campground.

I just wanted to report back that it was beautiful. We were at campsite 67 and it was so quiet. I have never seen so many stars either. We thought we were too early for fall colors because even Cherokee wasn't changing much but we hit some major fog in Nathanta (I know the spelling is way off) not far from the campground and once it cleared the fall colors were beautiful!

We did go see Laurel and Mooney Falls, both were beautiful. We also did about an 8-10 mile hike from the campground.

My only complaint was the bathroom/shower setup. There was a shower but you had to keep pressing the button to get it to work, during summer that would be fine but it sucked during winter :)
