Rented from Outer banks blue 15 years. Today..15 minutes before leaving to go to a home we rented from Outerbanks blue, we were told the home was not available. An hour later, we are waiting for Stephanie to finish getting us a LESSER home for same price We paid $2700 for a week that is ruined They took NO Responsibility and complained that we did not answer our cell phone when we have a landline

The situation in many parts of Currituck, especially Corolla and Carova, has been difficult because of incredible rains.

I hope you have an enjoyable vacation even with the house switch.

Outer Banks Blue was started in 2005, so 11 years. Our rental company had a house declared condemned by the town last year with a days notice because the owner did things without permits and the town reacted. Stuff happens. Is this because of the rains in Corolla?

In a situation like that, I would expect OOB to be very apologetic and to offer a better house for the same price or a discount on a similarly equipped house for the inconvenience. Anything less is unacceptable. Granted, they're dealing with challenges, but that's what they do.

It is not uncommon for a management company to reach out to other management companies to see if they can offer a replacement house if the first company has nothing to offer. Will they do that is the question.
