Are you allowed to drink beer on the beach?
I didn't google because I'm sure you've already done that, but I will tell you that IME at all the beaches in North Carolina, discreet drinking with a beer in a coozie has never been a problem and is very common. You'll want the coozie anyway to keep your beer a little colder. I think flagrant displays of drunkenness are frowned upon, but a few beers with your feet in the sand have never been a problem that I have seen. Do pack out your trash and recycling, though.
I agree. While technically and legally, alcohol is prohibited on beaches ...and there are signs saying so...beachgoers bring coolers with beer in them all the time. Use coozies as mentioned, or plastic cups for cocktails, be discreet and throw away your trash.
Have fun! Can't wait to go back to CB soon!
Alcohol on the beaches in New Hanover County is illegal.
Wilmington-Info, yes, but like I said in my post above...."While technically and legally, alcohol is prohibited on beaches ...and there are signs saying so...beachgoers bring coolers with beer in them all the time."
