massages/facials in seminyak?

this might be a silly question, but are there any spa facilities that will come to you in your hotel room? we are staying at the w in seminyak, but i know that the spa located within the hotel is quite expensive. i'm just looking for something simple but CLEAN, whether it's a massage or a deep facial.

if no such services exist, could someone recommend a close by spa that's reputable and not overly expensive? also, what kinds of prices would i expect to pay?

TIA!

I can highly recommend a salon called La Beaute at jl Pengubengan Kauh 18 Kerobokan It's fantastic and is constantly full of ex-pats which is always an indication it's good.

I love Bodyworks in Seminyak. I have been going here for 12 years. There is also Cool Spa which is near the Grocer and Grind.

Aspya on Drupadi is quite new but very good. Owned by an Aussie and there's a fantastic hair dresser there who had a very good salon in Perth. They have a Facebook page :)

My favourite massage place for a splurge is Jari Menari. I also enjoyed my massage at Bodyworks a few weeks ago.

Don't know about 'come to you' but can recommend a couple of 'go to' spas.

Agree with Katiejane7 that Bodyworks is great. 3 of us went there several times during our recent visit for massage, manis and pedis, hair treatments, foot massage and other body treatments. Highly recommend the Bodyworks Bliss massage- 2 people massaging you at the same time- synchronised massage if you like! Its amazing. Also recommend the Mandi Lulur; 2 hours of pampering. Check out their menu online at http://www.bodyworksbali.com/index.php

Also right near you on Jl Petitenget is Taman Merah Spa http://tamanmerah.com. Had a really great pedicure there. This is much more chill and laid back than Bodyworks which is frantic at all times.

Can also recommend Sundari Day Spa http://www.sundari-dayspa.com also on Jl Petitenget but much further out- you'll need a taxi which will only be a couple of dollars, or ask them about their free pick up service. It's a similar vibe to Teman Merah. Bea is lovely. We had body wraps and body scrubs here as well as their Slim and Trim massage. Enjoy their ginger tea after your treatment. Really lovely.

You need to book at all these places.

Forgot to mention.....the prices at all of these differ slightly but are all very reasonable and surprisingly cheap. You can get MUCH cheaper at smaller, downscale places. There are lots around.

Thanks everyone! Does BODYWORKS do walk-ins or must I make a reservation?

You can walk in but its best to book but you would take your chances on availability. They are always so busy. You may be ok for a mani or pedi but their massage rooms book out- especially the Bodyworks Bliss as they have limited staff for this.

Think Pink Nails is great - they have a free pickup and drop off service. Facials between $25-40. I have found that only tourists go to Bodyworks - very few expats.
