Bus, ferry or train service from NJ to Manhatten

Hello, We are seeking the best travel options to avoid driving into Manhatten (theater district). We are traveling from PA on Route 80. We would consider all options for 'park and ride' by bus, train or ferry from a location in New Jersey. Thanks

One option would be to park at Secaucus Junction and take NJ Transit train to NY Penn Station parking is only $10 if after 4pm or on a weekend (howerver higher if there's an avent at MetLife Stadium). Lot is not huge so don't know about availability if earlier on a weekday.

Trains are frequent and only take about 10 minutes. Round trip fare $8.50.

Another choice would be the NY Waterway ferry from Port Imperial in Weehawken. Ferry goes to W 39th St and there is a free shuttle bus. $9 one way. Don't know the parking rates.

CTRH gave you good advice though Secaucus Junction is at around 20-25 min out of the way from I-80. See also tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g28951-i77-k875688…

Are you just coming in for the day or overnight?
