If the room rates allow, I would suggest staying in the best hotel last, that way your trip has a nice progression, and you're left with the best memory as you leave.

2 hotels in 5 days is not too many; we often hotel-hop also.

I might do Bellagio over V/P partly because of location; it's further from Wynn so you'll have some more geographic diversity.

We will move on a stay of 5 nights or more. The 1st rule of switching hotels---Never Move down. That's kind of hard if you start at Wynn. Wynn and Palazzo are both nice hotels, but they are also right next to each other. I would recommend possibly Wynn and Aria. This will let you explore two different areas of the Strip.

Have you considered a night or two downtown? Try the Golden Nugget Rush or Gold Club rooms.

2 Hotels over 5 days is ok but I personally would plan to stay at the better hotel for the second part - moving down is likely to be a major disappointment in my opinion.

Think of all the times over the last couple of days you'll say - why did we move from X.

We were in Vegas for 5 nights on our first trip and wanted to split our stay, so we stayed at PH and Cosmo. We loved every bit of both properties. For this reason, we will split accommodaton again next trip.

Happy planning!

If you have kids, Mandalay, Luxor, Excalibur & NYNY is like a kid zone (south strip).

Monte Carlo (mid-strip) noticed mostly seniors in the casino.

Aria & Bellagio - both great choices - if get fountain view for Bellagio, otherwise would only consider Aria, as the Bellagio standard rooms are kind of small.

Then...

Encore (north Strip) or Rush Tower Golden Nugget (Fremont St) for other nights.

Those would be my picks. If over budget, then also consider GO ROOM at Flamingo (I like their Margaritaville casino) as a first hotel to stay.

why anyone would want to change hotel rooms for a 5 night stay is beyond me..

People on here complain about doing "too much", or "crammed itineraries" during their short time in Vegas, yet everyone seems to love wasting hours by checking in and out of hotel rooms.

Stay in one hotel, and spend the extra time enjoying your holiday would be my suggestion

I'd stay at the Wynn then move on the Aria or Vdara (if you're gambled out!) Nice sophisticated vibe similar to the Wynn but mid-Strip, good restaurants at Aria and shopping (or in my case, window shopping) at Crystals. Vdara has some good deals going on. The pool area at Aria is very nice too. You can take the free tram from either to Bellagio and avoid the incredibly high temps in August.

I would do it, but would stay at a comparable or LESSER property first. It's already been said, Never move down!

If you want to stay at the Wynn first, I'd move to Cosmo after that. Different end of the Strip, different vibe, but they are both awesome 5 star properties.

Maybe try to squeeze a 6th night out so you can do 3 nights each? LOL.

I'm not a big fan of changing hotels during a relatively short trip. I certainly wouldn't bother changing to a 2nd hotel that is within walking distance on the strip to the first and is essentially in the same category and price range. If you were doing a few nights on the strip and a few nights downtown or somewhere else, I could see it. Or if you wanted to do a few nights of luxury, or a few nights budget level, OK. But Wynn to Bellagio or Venetian/Palazzo doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.
