House/Condo Rental in May

Our family (6 adults) would like to rent a 3 or 4 bedroom house or Condo in May. I don't know where on the Lake to look. We would like a beautiful view, and not be in the hub of activity -- but within driving distance of it. We hope to kayak, so don't want to be near where there are fast boats. We live in the St. Louis area, if that makes a difference. We do hope to hit the outlet mall if there is a rainy day. What areas do you suggest?

Have you looked at Still Waters Resort? Right on the lake, just a stones throw from the Branson strip.

I don't know about how busy the lake is right in that area, though.

Little Niangua area or maybe Gravois Mills area would be quieter than some. For really quiet water you are going to have to go up above the 45mm on the lake, and at that point you are a bit far away from the mall area. If you go to VRBO (vacation rental by owner) look in the Coffman Bend area, Gravois and maybe Laurie.
