Tunica for a couple days?

I am going with my boyfriend to Tunica for a couple days for his birthday and I am getting mixed reviews from the casinos/hotels. We were wanting to stay at a Casino--which is best and why? Do you have any other suggestions of things to do and places to eat? I checked out the rankings but there wasn't much to it. Thanks in advance.

I'd rank the casino hotels, in this order: Horseshoe, Gold Strike, Hollywood, Sams, Fitz, Resorts and Ballys, These are opinions either from myself or friends who have stayed at these properties recently. I haven't spoken to anyone who's stayed at Roadhouse recently. A friend who recently stayed at Bally's said the room he had was gross and he almost couldn't stand to be in it. I have another friend who often travels through this area from IL and they now always stay at Hollywood as they like it so much. As for where to play, we like Horseshoe, Sams, Fitz and Hollywood.

As for things to do, the river museum is very nice and located near Fitz. The actual town of Tunica, south of the casinos, has a nice town square, some antique shops, etc. Clarksdale, with its famed juke joints, is about an hour or less south of Tunica.

For dining, I always recommend Hollywood Cafe (not related to or located in or near the Hollywood casino) and the Blue and White in the town of Tunica. IMHO, the casino buffets are okay at best. Gold Strike and Horseshoe probably have the better ones.

BTW, if you play My Vegas on Facebook, there are a few rewards available for Gold Strike.
