Its still there. Unfortuantely, business is really down in Tunica and that, of course, affects the number of forum posts.

We were there last week and made the rounds of several casinos. We stayed at Gold Strike and the place was jumping during the day and night. A conference was in session and several buses dropped off more gamblers. Others were, during the day; Hollywood, few gamblers; Ballys, dead, Roadhouse, really dead. Horseshoe busy at night and Resorts day, dead. The Horseshoe buffet was very good. We were staying two nights but were pretty disgusted with the gambling so we left after dinner the first night. From now on we plan to stay only one night.

We stayed at Horseshoe on a Friday night last month, and I agree with the comments about the properties from arkietoo and Deb although I don't think there was even a conference going on when we were there...we liked the Roadhouse changes a lot but could have counted on one hand the number of customers in there :(

We ate at the Horseshoe steakhouse, and the service and food were just excellent and loved our room but thought the casinos were really quiet.
