King crab legs on the menu?

Going to Newburyport soon and with a birthday boy that likes King Crab legs.

Does anyone know of a seafood place that serves them?

We also love other seafood, but hoping to find these somewhere if possible.

Any suggestions welcome, in Newburyport, Salisbury, Hampton, Rye, etc.

King crab is not caught in New England. If you find it on a menu, it has been flown in from Alaska. it is not typically found on menus here.

If you are closer to Boston at some point, you can get it at the Shaking Crab in Nonantum, Newton.

Thanks. I do realize King Crab is from Alaska. Was just hoping someone might have them.

We are also happy eating local seafood. Lots of choices around there.

There are lots of place in Boston and nearby that serve them.

Don't know about North Shore but I'd be shocked if you couldn't find a place serving them. I'd suggest calling places and asking (as opposed to looking at menus because that the type of thing that might be seasonal or as a special only).

I just checked the online menus for the most-likely places in Newburyport to have King Crab Legs, but none of them did. I think you need to turn this person onto New England lobster!

Because they are so expensive they tend to be served at high end places. I know that Barking Crab I Boston has them (of course) but otherwise I have seen them on the menu in places like Morton's, Grill 23, etc. Also at Eastern Standard. All in Boston which doesn't help much.

Thanks everyone. We will enjoy the fresh lobster and other seafood on this trip.

Thanks for the suggestions in Boston.

We will have to take a trip there too!
