Swimming hole or easy waterfall hike?

Hi,

Going with my family (including toddler) to Great Barrington for a long weekend and looking for things to do. Can you recommend a public swimming hole or a nice hike (maybe with waterfall) to do with a toddler?

Any other suggestions would be much appreciated as well!!

TIA

Hike to a waterfall: Bash Bish Falls - tallest waterfall in Massachusetts!

The hike from the New York parking lot (about 20 minutes from Great Barrington) takes about 1/2 hour each way - it's mostly uphill on the way there, but an easy wide path. There is no swimming allowed at the falls pool (but people do - and I saw some with toddlers). There are also places along the stream that leads away from the falls where people wade in the water (again, it is not allowed).
