So, Bigmama, just to clarify, you want something on the order of two 2-bedroom condo units at $1000. for the week each, on/near the beach and maybe a pool and would that be for July or August? Oh and the decor should be updated?
Just to get an idea of what's generally available in the mid-Cape area take a look at the options and photos at www.weneedavacation.com or other sites to refine your objectives.
We are looking for a 3 bedroom, on the beach, condo, not cottage, not rustic. $2000-2500??
The Ocean Edge looks nice but it doesn't seem to be close enough to the ocean. Thank you for the info.
I think you would find a better deal with an updated cottage thru a realtor or weneedavaction. etc. that is in walking distance to the beach. Some of the listings are quite nice and up to date. Oceanfront in the prime of the summer for 8 people will not be in the price range that you are looking at .
You could also look at - Threeseasonsresort.com this motel is located on the sound and has addtional cottages that allow access to the motel ammenities . Some prices are included. The one that I would suggest is located across the street sleeps alot but there is no price listed - I would guess it could be above what you are looking at to spend - but worth checking out.Edited: 27 March 2010, 13:55
homeaway.com is good too.
You might also broaden your search results to include other towns that have beaches on Cape Cod Bay. The Cove in Orleans, and Anchorage in Eastham both have frontage on Town Cove while Crow's Nest in Truro is often recommended for its bay beach. Crow's Nest condo's front Cape Cod Bay and are great for families because they have a long deck across the front that kids can play on and run around on as parent's supervise. You might need 2 condos though, as most have 2 bedrooms as I recall.
Check out Green Harbor Resort in West Yarmouth. Green Harbor has a nice variety of suites, cottages and townhouses.
