Fisherman's Wharf or Tugboat Inn?

We are two female friends planning an overnight in Boothbay Harbor in June.

We plan to visit the Botanical Gardens and take a harbor boat ride if warm enough. We are looking at Fisherman's Wharf and the Tugboat Inn.

Also, possibly considering the Topside Inn; they maybe able to accommodate us with two beds.

It looks like Tugboat and Fisherman's are owned by the same company and are close by to each other. Any significant differences/recommendations between the two properties? Does anyone know if Tugboat has coffee maker in the rooms?

Thought on Topside (if they can accommodate)?

Thanks for any suggestions!

Fisherman's is a little too boat-congested in the front , I would go with the Tugboat. Yes Tugboat has Keurig coffee maker & mini fridge in the room.

Topside is nicer, more of a B&B type Inn, not retro-motel like the other two (though they have both been nicely upgraded in the past year).

Thank you! The wharf view looks nice but the photos of the rooms at the Fisherman property look a little more up to date. Good to know they have both been updated.

Can we walk to town from the Topsider too?

Yes, it's a very short walk down a hill into town.....uphill on the way back so don't have too many blueberry margaritas.

Ha! We might have to stay more than one night. Thanks for the videos. They each look charming in their own way.

We stayed at Tugboat Inn last year. The rooms were comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful.

We love the Topside Inn, have stayed there twice, planning a third time this fall, from LA. Our favorite room is on the 3rd floor for the views, but it's a King room. There is also a sitting area at the top of the stairs on the third with views. If they can make two singles for you, go for it. We love the breakfast's in the morning and the homemade granola.

We stop in Boothbay every year on our ride back from Acadia to Portland. Always stay at the Tugboat. Easy walk to shops/restaurants. Nice friendly staff.

Thanks all for your feedback. We booked the Tugboat....now we are hoping for some nice weather. Would love to try Topside another time.
