McCall is a bit over halfway from CdA. It would be about 5 hours for her and about 2 hours for you. Nothing else really. Lewiston is about 2 hours for her and 5 for you but McCall is neater. Not much in between especially this time of year.
There is also a time change, not that it matters for drive time but many dont realize those of us in the Panhandle are on Pacific time while Boise is on Mountain time.
If you are looking for just a spot to meet up, I always liked Grangeville, ID, which is the town of any size closest to half way. Its not real big (3,000+ people) buts its the hub for the Camas Prairie and is in a very scenic location. About a 3.5 hour drive from Coeur d' Alene and 4 hour drive from Boise area. Number of restaurants rated here on TripAdvisor.
I'm partial to Riggins, myself.
Riggins maybe in summer but doesn't appeal to me in November!
There are several quant little towns between Boise and Coeur d'Alene to choose from. A couple recommendations have been mentioned above. Riggins/Grangeville would be about the closest to the halfway mark.
