where to go in new year's eve around Sarasotaa

We're going to be in our Christmas Holidays December 27 to January 4th, in Longboatt Key. We'll be there during New Year and we' wait for your advice about where to spend new year's eve. May be a restaurant that apart from food could prepare some kind of show...

thanks!!

There is a big New Years Eve party in downtown Sarasota.

Many places to eat on Main Street and enjoy the show.

The Pineapple drop at midnight is the main event..lots of fun bars, music etc. that night.

Yes, the family segment starts at 2 PM..something for everyone.

The beaches are on barrier islands..Siesta Key, Longoat Key, Lido Key and Anna Maria Island. Sarasota doesI not have beaches, but is on Sarasota Bay. There aren't any beachfront restaurants on Longboat Key.

The Drydock Waterfront Grill is on the Bay. Marina Jacks in downtown Sarasota is on the Bay.

The Lido Beach Resort on Lido Key is on the beach and has a restaurant.

Not sure what you are looking for..or how much you want to spend.

The Ritz Carlton is in downtown Sarasota.

Personally, I would go to DT sarasota as has been suggested. Otherwise the Lido Beach resort or you can see what the Hilton and Longboat key club are doing for NYE.

Another more casual option, on the water, is The Salty Dog but I don't know how late they will be open (or serving food). I would call or email them to ask

How much do you want to spend per person? casual or more dressy? dancing?

don't know what kind of show you are looking for..will you be driving?

Lots of optiions in many price ranges.not many on the water..gave you to best options..

We prefer a casual option and the prices ... between 60-100 ~$ per person dancing not necessary but a little bit of "party" will do no harm :-)

And yes we'll have a car. About the beach.... it doesn't matter....at first we thought that the beach was a good option but we didn't know that may be it was not the better option in the zone, so actually it is not something necessary

Thanks a lot , we'll be looking forward your advices again ;-9
