Euphemia Haye

Is Euphemia Haye on the water? My BF and I are trying to plan dinner for this Saturday night, something romantic but with good food. We really wanted something on the water. We don't want anything that requires a jacket and tie. Our price range is anywhere from $30-$40 a plate. Please let me know your suggestions. He lives in Bradenton so anywhere in the Bradenton/Sarasota area would be great! Thanks in advance for your help!!! Oh....we've been to Ophelia's. We liked it, but we'd like to try something different. Thanks again!!!

No, Euphemia Haye is not on the water.

If you're looking for something on Longboat, there is the Colony Dining Room or Pattigeorge's.

There are also options on Anna Maria Island. Post on that forum.

The Beach Bistro is wonderful, but I doubt it would fit in the budget.

Pattigeorge's is a good choice; on the water and attractive. Can be a bit noisy, but the food is good. It should be in your price range, though maybe pushing it a bit. On Monday they'll start a $25 3-course Prix Fixe meal, and perhaps you could persuade them to let you do it a day or two early.

Harry's on Longboat is not on the water but it is in a lovely garden setting and is attractive and romantic. We had dinner there last night with a 4-course Prix Fixe meal for $29; it was superb, as usual -- large portions, nicely presented, great flavors.
