August weather

August weather

We’re planing a trip to Sanibel at the beginning of August. My concern is how hot it will be. Does the water get too warm at that point? Thanks in advance!

It’s hot but there is no place I would rather be. Where are you coming from? The water warms up in the afternoon but not bad.

I find that pool water gets too warm for my tastes .. but gulf water temps are nicer .. August is one hot + humid month ..

We've gone to Sanibel several times in August because it was cooler and less humid in Sanibel than in the Midwest!

We rented a place directly on the beach and perhaps the breezes from the Gulf Ocean kept it cooler and less humid than the Midwest.
