Fun, causal waterfront restaurants?

I did a quick search of the forum, but couldn't find any causal waterfront restaurants on Longboat. Can anyone recommend some local favorites? Thanks!

If you look under "Restaurants" you can read reviews for the Drydock Waterfront Grill and others.

For fun places, look at the selection on the Anna Maria Island forums/restaurant reviews.

O'Leary's Tiki Bar by the docks at Bayfront Park (SRQ mainland).

Mar Vista on Longboat is on the bay side, too.

Nothing is really too dressy in FL.

Thanks! Sounds like we might have to go visit Anna Maria Island.

Just before getting onto Longboat at the south end, Old Salty Dog is on the water. Once you're on Longboat there are three casual waterfront restaurants -- Dry Dock, Mar Vista and Moore's Stone Crab (reviews of Moore's are quite mixed). More upscale/pricier restaurants on the water on Longboat are the Chart House (fair), Colony Beach, and Pattigeorge's (my favorite).
