We have never been to Alabama and were wondering if it is worth our time to make a quick trip there while we are visiting Okaloosa Island for 10 days next April. If so, any suggestions on where to go and what to see would be much appreciated!

Come up Navarre Beach to Pensacola Beach. Visit downtown, historic Pensa, see free Naval Air Museum, wow. Come west to Perdido Key, Orange Beach, even Gulf Shores. Wont see anything spectacular but will see options to FWB
Good day trip, go back on I10 or 98 east
A stop at FloraBama at border will have you at the most famous seaside dive in the area.
I hope you are avoiding springbreak!
We are going 4/2-4/12. Our condo is in a quiet area and isn't the Island pretty calm most of the time? I hope we didn't make the wrong choice.
I believe that is the Atlanta area school's spring break and will be one of the busiest spring break weeks.
Oh! Our spring break in Oregon is mid-March. I guess we will have to live with crowds when we are away from the condo. Does it get really, really bad on the Island? Would it be better later in the month? I thought Easter might be busy and was trying to avoid that.
I think after Easter will be less busy. Spring break goes from the second week of March until about April 8th. The week Atlanta schools are on spring break is the busiest week. I always check the dates because we rent out our condo. Also the spring breakers tend to be families, not really wild or crazy.
You can drive to Fort Morgan and tour the fort.
Take the ferry from Fort Morgan to Dauphin Island.
You could continue to Mobile. There are several things to see and do in Mobile, tour the USS Alabama or Ft. Conde.
Return by way of Daphne and Fairhope, stop by the Fairhope Municipal Pier to view Mobile Bay
