slopeside lodging in Vail

We are 6 adults coming to ski in Feb. and would like a 3 bedroom condo/apt. in Vail. We understand nothing in Vail in skion/off, but would like to at least be within walking distance to slope, so we don't have to pay parking fees every day. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for any help you can give us!

Check www.vrbo.com to rent directly from an owner. www.vailrealty.com and www.brandesscadmusrealestate.com are local realtors that rent vacation units for the owners. Used all 3 of these at one time or another and been very satisfied.

Keep in mind that Vail has a nice bus system that can get you to either Vail Village or Lionshead where it's a short walk to the lifts. You can save money by staying out of town (or at least out of the Village or Lionshead) a bit and bussing it. Just make sure you're near the bus route wherever you choose.

In Lionshead, I always recommend Lion Square Lodge........you are right next to the gondola.....great property.

Have you checked into Beaver Creek by chance? Although it is "Vail's Little Sister" it offers many many more condo options to ski right to your Lodge. Vail is only 10 minutes away for the days you want to try it, but if you love the idea of skiing right to the door of your condo, check out Beaver Creek!

(I[d recommend Highlands Lodge, Highlands Slopeside, Strawberry Park, McCoy Peak Lodge,)
