A minimum of 45 minutes.

Once started, it might take 45 minutes to move through the locks but during some months, the canal is only open to one way traffic at certain periods. There can be huge backup as well. Commercial craft will have priority over pleasure craft making it all the more difficult to get through the 9 locks of the Fonsérannes.

If you are attempting this during a busy summer month, I would allocate ½ day.
