Help Wedding party coming to Denver

Please can you help me decide where to stay when we come to Denver on 26th December this year.

We are travelling from England in a party of at least 14 ages ranging from 2yrs to 60plus.

The bride lives in Lakewood and the wedding will take place in Littleton. We will be in Denver for 7 days. Dont really want budget just really good quality accomodation and staff, with plenty to do nearby.

Crowne suites in Lakewood has been mentioned but it is too basic.

Really wanted a big vacation let but these only seem to be in the mountains and dont want to get snowed in.

Please, Please help.

Will you be renting cars? If so, there are many areas you might enjoy. If not, then downtown is probably best for you.

You might try a bed and breakfast establishment. If you could rent many/most/all of the rooms, you might end up with something like the vacation rental you had imagined. Many B&Bs have the amenities you desire (along with charm), and some are in good locations. There are some near downtown Denver, which is where I'd recommend you stay if you want to be someplace where there is a lot to do.

Queen Anne B&B is near downtown, and that could be a good choice. Search on Denver Bed and Breakfast for other options.

Or, the Oxford Hotel or Hotel Teatro might provide what you desire.

There is a light rail train that runs from Denver to Littleton, but not to Lakewood. You can take a city bus from Denver to Lakewood if you don't want a car.

If you stay in Lower Downtown (LoDo) or Downtown, you will find lots to do nearby (Museums, Restaurants, Shops, Walking Tours, Theatre, Sports)

Definitely stay downtown, plenty of good hotel choices and most of the fun is within walking distance. Outside of downtown, most lodging is centered around large corporate areas, so there is less to do.

My husband and I just returned from a trip to Denver and had a wonderful stay at the Sheraton in Lakewood. We stayed on the club floor and had a great view of the foothills. The room was spacious, immaculate and had a nice large bathroom with a jetted tub and separate glassed in shower area. There was also a fireplace in the bedroom and a super comfy sweet sleeper bed...like sleeping on a cloud. We requested a mini fridge and one was delivered immediately. The restaurant has a great breakfast buffet or you can order from their menu. The club floor has a complimentary continental breakfast that is quite adequate with healthy selections, and complimentary cocktails and snacks in the evening. There is also a lounge downstairs off the lobby area with a fireplace and tv. The hotel has several nice restaurants around it. The staff was friendly and professional...went out of their way to accomodate us. It's where we plan to stay next time in Denver. Hope this helps.
