cottage for 4 in sonoma

Hi,

I am looking for a cottage that is part of a b&b for 4 persons anywhere in Sonoma country (preferred the Russian River).

I've looked through the b&b's in the area (we love the breakfast and the treatments u usually get in a b&b) but they all have separate rooms and we are hoping to find something that has the b&b features but a separate cottage for 2 couples....

Hope someone know of one or how I can search for one in TA.

Thanks...

p.s. - we are having a great time here in CA in our 3 weeks tour and promise to post some reviews and summary when we're done!

I can't help you with the Healdsburg area but I have a listing of cottage rental sites in the town of Sonoma, walking distance to the Plaza.

I am wondering if I gave you this on a Napa forum message...sorry, I don't remember your name. If so, I apologize, but here is the list.

The town of Sonoma is historic, built around an 11 acre Plaza during the Mexican days of the first part of the 19th century. It is ringed with adobe buildings from the period, now housing boutiques, restaurants, wine tasting venues, etc. and the most northern and last Franciscan Mission ordered by Father Serra.

I have a list of cottages for rent within walking distance of the Plaza, if you are interested.

donner cottage may be a single cottage and not for two couples. I would check that out.

More than one bungalow. This one has had great reviews from people who have stayed there.

This has two bedrooms.

Has a hot tub.

Also has a hot tub.

These are all within walking distance of the Plaza.

You can actually walk to the Sebastiani Winery from here and there are several within easy driving distance as well as those along the Sonoma Valley, which goes 18 miles north.

The town of Sonoma is a half hour drive away from the town of Napa.

I hope something fits. If not, google "cottage rentals Sonoma California" and then scour the list. I only got to the second page when I made this list for another visitor. :~)

By avoiding the summer and the "crush" you will probably be able to get any of these at a nice rate, since the valleys will be relatively uncrowded. I am sure that the rates listed are for high season.

Good luck and have a great trip.

I just noticed that you want breakfast with the cottage. I am not sure that is on, but some of them may have minimal kitchen facilities so you could have fruit, coffee and a pastry on you own. If not, if you choose one of the Sonoma town cottages, it is a quick walk to the Plaza where you will find breakfast.

Take a look at the First Crush Cottage (www.firstcrushcottage.com) which is on the same property as the Irish Rose B&B Inn in the Dry Creek Valley--not Russian River, but close in proximity. The Cottage has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. It is a vacation rental so not the same amenities as the Inn--but ask about the possibility of receiving breakfast. It's a lovely location--AND next to a fine winery: Brogan Cellars.
