Hotels with pools that allow topless bathing

Would anyone be able to inform us if there are any hotels that allow topless sunbaking in Santa Monica....

We haven't been able to find any recent info on this...

Quite possible the weather won't allow it as it could be cooler when we go but we will see how it turns out

Culturally toplessness is not a well accepted thing in the U.S.

Las Vegas is the only place I know that has designated "European" pools, meaning topless allowed.

Maybe Shutters or one of the other chi chi glitterati hotels would allow it, but I don't know of any with an official topless bathing area.

I have always sunbath topless. Except for the occasional looks of disgust, no one has ever said anything.

There are hotels in Palm Springs that are "clothing optional" but there are no mainstream hotels in major cities in the USA that have policies that allow topless sunbathing(that I know of)

We actually love bathing without bathing suits but we don't do that in mainstream hotels.

IF they allow it in Las Vegas well then that is to be expected there!

A few hotels in Palm Springs and Desert Hot Springs have clothing optional pools.

None. No hotel in Santa Monica will allow this.

If you're a man, it's allowed in SM. If you're a woman, then no.

If you'll be in San Francisco, there is an informal clothing-optional beach at the north end of Baker Beach. The weather is unlikely to be as warm as Southern California, however!

Thanks everyone, we are on a 24 hour stop over with flights... don't have a lot of time to travel...

Maybe find somewhere on our next trip! Cheers

On a return trip, it's unlikely that you'll find any hotels that allow topless bathing, except the very rare clothing optional resorts, most of which cater exclusively to gay mem. Topless bathing in public is not culturally accepted in the US.

Unlike popular beliefs from other parts of the world, Santa Monica is really a family town. Full of families. Like Mayberry RFD. PIcket fences. Politically correct language and behaviour, intended to not offend anyone. You haven't been to any of our neighborhoods, so you think we are a tourist playground. Party people are not the norm here. Nudity is not the norm here. Toplessness is not the norm here. Unless you are 3 years old.

Enjoy the South of France.
