Go to Palm Springs. Stay near downtown. Walk to shops, restaurants, bars and a casino.

The casino is pretty much the same setup as you would find in vegas except games like craps are not the same. The interior is pretty much like any vegas casino. You realize there is no free booze at indian casinos

I've done the overnight shopping trip, staying at the Monrogo Hotel and Casino with several of my girlfriends. It was really fun. We drove out early, shopped, then checked into the hotel. They have a nice swimming pool system. We rented a cabana to keep cool.

The restaurant on the top floor is very nice, the casino fun.

Normally we go into PS Oalm Desert or La Quinta for our Girls trip.

Visited the Desert Hills outlets last week and they were awesome- we contributed a lot to the US economy!! We stayed in Palm Springs at The Sagauro and drove to the outlets. Had the chance to eat downtown and explore a bit of the local area .

Have fun!

If you're going to have a few drinks, stay at the casino hotel. Highway Patrol is active on I-10. I think Palm Springs or Palm Desert would be more interesting. Not much around Cabazon the last time I went other than the casino, outlets and some specialty food stores. I didn't find great deals at the Cabazon outlets, but know people who love them. I think most casinos allow smoking inside (a minus for me, a plus for others). Did you check TA for reviews of the hotel at Morango?
