We will be traveling in the Northern areas in May and we plan to get back to Islamabad from Chitral by plane. Our main concern is what to do in case our flight is cancelled, which seems to happen quite often due to weather conditions. Do you know how safe it is to get back to Islamabad by the road crossing Swat valley? What about time needed for the trip? Is one day and a half enough? (our flight is scheduled on 3.00 p.m., so if it is cancelled we will know it let's say around 1.00 p.m. This gives us only half a day road travel on that day. Then we will have one more day left to arrive in Islamabad in the evening to catch our international flight next morning).
Thank you in advance for your suggestions
