We are new to the area and we'll have our own car. I saw la fortuna waterfall, but we are looking for some quieter not as touristy area waterfalls to go to. In regardless of being crowded, what is the most scenic hanging bridge to go to? Thanks for any tips, love

The best hanging bridges are at Mistico. La Fortuna waterfall is the best in the area. I don't think there are a lot of tourists around these days.

Mistico hanging bridges are great. Also, hiking trails at

Arenal Observatory Lodge are great and there's a waterfall.

I've been to LaFortuna waterfall twice and have never seen more that a dozen people even before Covid. The pool is great to swim in! Well worth the 500 steps!

I spend years living by La Fortuna...even when tourist was not a big deal there, we locals use to spend our days hiking down to LA Fortuna...and we love it !!

The water is a littl to call for my taste but some many people love it !!

Mistico also is agreat place, located on a great location...

The waterfall we mentioned is separate - La Fortuna waterfall. I think you see one at Mistico, but you don't get close to it. These are two separate attractions.

Do you have your own car?

There's not that close to each other, but you can easily visit both during the same day, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon.

@5, I hope you have been enjoying La Fortuna.

If you haven't been to Mistico yet, they now require advance online ticket purchase (https://www.misticopark.com). Closed shoes are required for the hanging bridges.
