Dear All...We are a family of 5 that includes two small kids (9/5) and my aged mother (67). We had booked our tickets in advance and plan to travel to Mysore/Coorg/Ooty in the first week of April. Please advise on below: -

1. Would you guys recommend since COVID19 cases are not much in that region though I have aged mother and small kids

2. Is the lockdown expected to be over by 31st March or are travel restrictions likely to be in place even in April

Please advise.

I am not sure if this is the best time for you to travel. Plus this virus can affect all ages although the elderly and folks with underlying conditions like diabetes heart disease can die. Airport is where you could come in contact with international travelers so it will be a personal risk. However Bangalore is very hot and this virus may not stay active in such high temperatures so your family might be okay. Have a good trip

Its better to postpone your trip. Many tourist spots are closed & there are restrictions on hotel bookings as well. Check out for updates before planning your trip

Kodagu DC jas imposed Sec144 as first case of Covid9 detected. Ban on tourism till 31stMarch. So better to postpone or change itineraru to Mysore and Ooty avoiding Coorg.

No,it is not safe to travel in this times. Plan after 4-5 months.Even though corona cases has been reduced,it is not safe to travel with kids. if you visit in this times after reduction of corona, you are not that much comfortable.
