How early can you apply for an e-visa?

Hi,

I’ve been told different information by everyone at how early I can apply.

I go to India for a couple weeks on 12 Feb. However, iam travelling to other destinations before so would ideally like to get my visa now before I pay for my booking and flights. I called up the helpline and they advised on applying end Jan! That’s just cutting it too fine for me!

Hi, yes I want to apply now too but when I called the centre they told me it’s too early and risk rejection of visa!

Please don't depend on travel forums for such important issues.

Go to the e-visa government website and read the rules, they are quite clear.

Rules change from time to time, so best to see the original source.

Yes, your example of the time period is my understanding too. Which means I would be ok to apply this Friday at 15th Dec for my holiday on 12 February. However, I called the centre and they told me it’s too early! :(
