Free morning - what to do?

On my last day I have a free morning 8-12 by then I would have seen the top attractions, plus most tours start after 11am. Anyone has a recommendation? something I could do to end my holiday in a high note?

Thank you

Paola

Is the Russian Museum something you had already seen? It is near the Church on Spilled Blood. Don't know the hours but it was excellent. If you hadn't gone inside the Church on Spilled Blood that is also a good choice. A stroll up Nevsky Prospect visiting the many interesting churches, shops etc is another possibility. Or a canal boat ride if you haven't done that.

The Blockade Museum is fascinating, and there is an audio guide to help make sense of all the displays.

It's near the Summer Gardens.

The only thing is I think - like many museums - it opens at 10am which might be a bit tight for your schedule.

There's a tremendous amount of detail about life in Leningrad under the siege, as well as lots of information about the battlefront as well. We skipped a lot of the latter and concentrated on the former.

Definitely worth visiting if you can fit it in.

Try Yusupov Palace. Also I recommend the gallery of RosFoto (RosPhoto) and the Museum of Russian Geographic Society.

I ended up going to St Isaac and Kazan cathedrals. A stroll down Nevsky Avenue and gift shopping. I was quite late for the airport but it was worth it! Thank you all guys
