This is not a question - rather some info to assist other travellers who may find themselves in the same pridicament as us. We broke our bus journey from Panama to Costa Rica in David. We arrived at the bus station thinking we would find and buy a next day bus ticket to San Jose (which is a requirement then all you do is ask your bus driver to drop you off earlier - in our case at Quepos then a short taxi ride to Manuel Antonio). When we arrived in David, we could not locate a ticket office for Tracopa - the company who run this service. One side of the station is for arrivals and the other for departures. We eventually located a small ticket window near one end of the station (blue polls - the outside of the station seems to be partially colour coded) adjacent to a cellular store. (Red roller doors). Look carefully - it is there but took us a while. Unfortunately it was closed but we had read the bus leaves daily (possibly twice) with the first departing around 8am or 8.30am (dependent on what blog you read). The ticket office was due to open at 7.30 next day so we returned and it eventually opened around 8am. We purchased 2 tickets ($21 pp) and the bus left just before 9am. Hope this helps other intrepid travellers as we encountered another couple in same predicament as us who had returned to the bus depot at 5am for fear of missing the bus.
