Tanjong Java resort

Hello I am staying at the Tanjong Java resort mid September for 9 days .. Can't wait !

Does the area get a lot of Mosquitos & also what currency is excepted in the towns & hotel ?

Also does anyone know how much a typical spa /massage is at the hotel ?

Many thanks

Best to only have Malaysian Ringgit, its the only legal tender in the country. If you try to use any other currency, even if the hotel or other places decide to accept it, it would be at a lousy rate to you.

Tanjung Jara is set in natural surroundings. The odd mosquito or two is unavoidable but we were not really bothered by any.

Spa packages start from RM415++ but there maybe promotions available. Check with the spa.

staffs, u.k.

Also visiting this resort. Looks lovely but quite isolated. Are there any shops/ restaurants nearby. Would like to buy some beer and soft drinks but realise alcohol might be very restricted outside tourist resorts

No, there is nothing much of note within walking distance of the resort. There is a seafood restaurant called C.B.Wee a short walk away that opens during lunch and dinner hours.
