The forescast is showing a lot of rain and thunderstorms for the half term week. Hope it is not a total washout for the week.
Remember the Antalya province is pretty huge and is very geographically diverse. Very often apps will use the data for the province and yes it may well be wet and windy in the mountains but beautifully sunny on the coast :o)
Thanks VIP you have given me hope :) We fly tomorrow .
Yes also very worried about the weather. Have been the last 3 October half-terms. The first 2 were glorious sunshine, last year 3 days of rain and this year ... well I guess I'll find out tomorrow. Happy holidays happytraveller403 andEdited: 19 October 2018, 08:05
The forecast does seem a bit grim for the last couple of weeks of this month.
Hop you are right vipfamily because we fly out on SundayEdited: 19 October 2018, 11:24
Just checked the weather and wanted to cry!!!! We fly Sunday, fingers crossed for some sun.
yeah we go Tuesday, god knows how we're all gonna keep the kids entertained, oh dear!!!
OK I have just had a quick look at the government meteorology office site. They only give 5 days forecast and it tends to change daily. Tuesday looks lovely but there do appear to be storms rattling around. I'll try to remember to check for you all and post anything I learn here. I can't promise to do it daily but I'll try to update as often as I can.
The website is in Turkish so a link isn't very useful.
On a positive note so far there's no severe weather warnings.
I think that yes there are storms forecast but so far looks as though they will hopefully be short sharp ones.
Watch this space.
Depending on your hotel they will often organise indoor activities. If you want ideas of places to visit if there are bad days I'll try to help :o)
Exactly - not much help is it?! May be misleading as well. There is a more detailed page as well but the translations are rubbish!!Edited: 19 October 2018, 18:17
