Who eats Salad in Patong or should we steer clear?

Hi all

i have come across a thread suggesting not to eat the salads. I have searched the above but have found no answers as to if this is a must or just the odd opinion. This is our 3rd trip to phuket but we havent been for 4 years and I cannot remember avoiding salads?

we frequent Bali alot as its so close and eat salad there in restaurants. Do you eat the Salads in Patong? Im referring to side salads mainly not a salad as a main meal (im on holiday after all).

thanks all

Thanks to those for helpful replys

Andy- I don't remember eating salads last time, only cooked veggies. Even if I had I don't see why I can't ask the question now.

After browsing this site over the last few weeks I've noticed so many sarcastic , rude & blunt replys it makes me wonder why these people even come on trip advisor! The point of this site is to get first hand info from travellers themselves. If you don't want to help people then don't reply!

Apparently , if you believe everything you read , its something to do with the water and washing the vegetables , I believed it years ago and never went near them ,

I eat salads now , have done for a while , and never had a problem ,

Thanks for asking that question! Our doc said to avoid them. I am really looking forward to a papaya salad!
