Hua Hin 1 night, what area should we stay in?

Hi, we arrive in Hua HIn, evening time

Our budget is flex, anything from low end slum, to high end luxery. We are relaxed about that.

Just wanting to know, are there night markets every night? are they decent? What area is that?

We are after amazing food, local vibe... don't care about the english factor!

cheers and thank u!

Well if it's one night stay in the center ( the main beach though is also in the center ) - the main Hua hin night market is open every night and although you will find souvenirs etc you will also find local places to eat food and as the majoritiy of visitors to Hua hin are Thai you will find things priced asccordingly.

The night market is cery central, weekend ( I think Thu-Sun at the moment ) also Grand Plaza for local atmosphere but a longer walk from the center.

Around the Waterfront are restaurants over the water which is great for atmosphere, there are also lovely restaurants such as Monsoon and others.

There are sois ( streets ) in the area to wander around. The Hilton towers over the area. There are also street stalls and places for snacks.

You can walk everywhere but there are also Samlor Bicycle rickshaws and tuk tuks.

Hua Hin is overall friendly, stress-free and calm. There are enough bars to suit most if you want.

Lots of Thai food of course and great seafood, but also very good other cuisines, masses of restaurants in town and others a tuk-tuk ride away such as Coci51 at the sea, let's Sea, Baan Istara and many others.

Where to stay- In town Sofitel Centara is superb 5 star, Hilton is a high rise, Marriott, Intercontinental and Hyatt Regency are a tuk tuk ride. Further out Anantara, Sheraton etc.

There are budget hotels, boutique resorts and mid range, so it's up to you.

Wannara near the Sofitel though not on the beach is good mid range and convenient location.

All those other resort hotels I mentioned at the higher price end are all absolute beachfront

You can also take in Thai dance/music and martial arts show with dinner at sasi should you wish, they offer free town p/up as its a few km from center ( but next to Hyatt )
