It's very easy, any tuk tuk will take you up there.

It is one of the 'must see' places.

From anywhere on the main beach looking south you see Khao Takiab which is a hilltop into the sea.

There are steep steps to one temple and you can walk around to the Chinese temple, amazing views both north and south.

There are monkeys ( but watch out, they will grab and run off with anything LOL )

La Mer Restaurant is also there with amazing views, some love it, others don't, we have always found it fine, seafood, but the view at night is lovely.

You will also see dogs, these are taken care of by the monks, if a dog lover a nice bag of dried food always appreciated.

Some pics I have seen on Twitter which make it easy to get the location:

This is Main beach from Sofitel area, you see the huge hilltop in the distance easily. That is Khao Takiab:

The Goldden Buddha taken at night at the base of Khao Takiab, this is south past the Hyatt and Wora Bura: another lovely photo

Very close by is Supatra-by-the-Sea restaurant and you see the Golden Buddha quit nearby. During the day it only costs 10 Baht each to get here, along the main road wave down a lime-green songthaew and from where it terminates you can walk near the fishing village and onto the beach in this area.

I will add these whilst looking as they will be of interest -

Ban Krut beach ( about 200km south of Hua Hin ) takes about 2 hrs by road:
