Shuttle Service

Shuttle Service

Can anyone tell me if the shuttle service has improved any since summer? I waited what seemed endless and finally skipped it, I only have a couple days and don't want to spend it waiting. Also, the jitney was not running on schedule that day and when one finally showed up it was full after two got off and three got on. Thanks, looking forward to coming up this weekend to visit my money!!!.....(and hopefully kidnap some of it to bring back home with me!).

I didn't take any Total Reward shuttle this summer. The jitney service was very busy down the boardwalk in the summer as you stated. For this month, we tested the Total Reward shuttle again for three trips to and from Harrah's and Bally's/Caesars. We were lucky to catch the shuttle within 15 minutes 4 times. The longest time we had to wait was 30 minutes. All the trips we took were either on Friday or Saturday. If that's the nor, I'd say the Total Reward shuttle service has improved

tremendously.

I can't help on the total rewards shuttle but regarding jitneys, they are not on any schedule. They are independently operated. The association divides up the routes amongst their drivers and tells them when they may work but they are not required to work. So if a couple of the drivers don't feel like going to work there will be less jitneys on the street so they fill up faster. Naturally most report even in the winter as they have loans on their franchise license and insurance on the bus to pay for even if it's too slow to turn a profit. A guy I work with just purchased a jitney license for $150,000 and he said that is cheaper then they have been for years.

Wow. On those small buses that takes a lot of trips to catch up! Thanks for the info.....I find my patience grows more thin when waiting a long time on the ride back to the hotel so maybe I'll wait on the shuttle over and splurge for a taxi to get back.

CET pecked away and pecked away.Cost saving I guess. I enjoyed staying at Harrahs a couple days of each trip and CET hopping. On arrival i park my car and refuse to drive in AC which frees me up to drink whenever the desire arises. Being absolutely in no hurry and loving a bargain i actually liked Harrahs shuttle.A cold day in Nov and a long wait outside followed by getting a cab changed that. I now stay my whole trip at Borgata. The shuttle was not the deciding factor but the peck, peck, peck of the CET brillunes was.

I used the shuttle a few times this past weekend and the most I waited was 15 minutes. Maybe I was just lucky because there have been times that I waited over 30 minutes. I just wish they would have them on a schedule as they do in Las Vegas. There is no reason that they couldn't be on the hour and half hour at 2 casinos and 15 and 45 at the other 2 casinos. Right now it is pretty much a guessing game on what time one will arrive.
