Arrived at The Borgata around 12:30 p.m. and was assigned a room on the 37th floor. Having an MGM credit card allowed us into the line for gold and platinum members...so about 60 people in regular line and no line for us. The MGM credit card also allows us free parking. Too cold for boardwalk walking.
After getting settled, we gambled for a few hours. I wasn't winning, but I did get bonuses on quite a few machines. Of course I look at it as - hey, I have more money to play with and then bet higher. Didn't work for me, lost it all. I saw a woman playing $1.00 on a LIghting Machine and when she hit the bonus she got 4 mini bonuses and 1 major and ending up winning over $600.
We had an early casual dinner at the Metropolitan and then went over to Oceans. I love, love, love their casino/machines (great selection and I was able to play almost all machines I wanted)- not much love for the rest of the resort. Much too much open space.
We went to see "So You Think You Can Dance" - show was magnificent. It was at Ovation Hall. Great seats. There was a lot of lighting on the stage and although it made the show, it was distracting at times because it blinded you - Since the show was at Oceans, we would have liked to have slept there but we couldn't get a comped room there. So...we slept at our home base (The Borgata).
I found all personnel at Oceans to be helpful and friendly...Rewards desk, security, slot machine attendants and Ovation Hall.
Back at Borgata, I played until around 1:00 a.m. Lost plenty but was happy to have gotten some bonuses in the games I played making them more interesting.
We had breakfast at our favorite spot - Bread and Butter.
Since it was Sunday we went to mass at Our Lady Star of the Sea on Atlantic Avenue. It's strange to say that I enjoyed the Mass. The church was nicely decorated with fall pumpkins and flowers . They had a lively choir accompanied with piano, guitars and drums.
Went back to pick up my promotional gift - I earned 3 points so I picked out a kitchen scale that will be mailed to my house.
