We stayed at Hotel Camino Real the first night and our last night in Nicaragua. It is about five minutes or less from the airport. They have a free shuttle. Ordinarily breakfast is included in the rate. It is a very nice breakfast.

I second the Camino Real - nice hotel, shuttles are free run approximately every 30 minutes. If you opt for a taxi it will cost ~$5. The Camino Real has an aviary with parrots that say 'hola', a decent pool, great buffet breakfast, tennis courts, and pool in a quiet setting. Great way to start off your holidays.

We stay at the Best Western...right across from the airport. They have a complimentary shuttle or you can walk across the road. Very nice, clean and breakfast buffet is included. We like it & are staying again this year.
