Peru weather!

Anyone here that can let me know how severe the weather it is right now in Peru? Apparently there's mudslide, flooding etc going on. I'm flying to Lima on March 26th until Apr 9th and plan on going to Cusco, Puno and Arequipa as my main destinations. Thanks!

I just booked a trip to Lima on 4/19 then on to MP however I can still change my flight to early May within a few hours for no fee. Hearing about infrastructure damage worries me a little. Does this sound like the type of thing that should be fixed in the next month Or will it take much longer? Do you think I should be fine going in late April or should I change to May?

Just had an email from the tour company I'm with later this week. Please see below;

The weather situation is not affecting the hotels in Lima since the river overflows is affecting districts 40minutes away from Miraflores area.

Arequipa Puno Cusco are not being affected by the rains.

The departments suffering this situation is Ica and the north side of Peru specially Trujillo and Chiclayo cities. Piura and Tumbes there are not rains but part of the highway is being repared.

We will be glad to see the group this week

MP is located in the cloud forest. 80% rain is average for the season. People will walk around monument without problems.

No way to predict what weather will do. Only affect to you in Lima could be water supply issues but no way to predict it in my opinion. Personally I would not change plans since MP Cusco and Sacred Valley have no affects.
