Do you know if tourist can get involved or watch celebrations for Nyepi? Or generally anything about it as we are on holiday when it takes place. I know it's a day of silence

They will have parades all over Bali the night before, just do a google search and I'm sure you will find one for the rea you are staying in.

This year Nyepi falls on a Friday. This is the major day of prayer for the Moslem community in Bali. Therefore Moslems in the Bandung Regency have been given special dispensations to leave their houses to visit the mosque. This includes going to the nearest mosque and travelling on foot rather than using a vehicle.
