any flooding near Chonqing?

We are seeing bad floods on the news in the area. Is this causing a problem for tourist boats along the Yanghtze? Planning to go from Chonqing to 3 gorges dam. Then on fast train to Shanghai. Thank you for any knowledge.

Most floods are seasonal, regional and last few days or hours, it has been happening for 1,000s of years, it's effect on your trip largely depends on when you'll be there, no dates in your question.

yes I understand. we need to book flights for 16th to 26th July. BBC news reports were particularly bad today. sounded like boats and train lines damaged. Saddened to hear of deaths and lost people. wondering if a visit in december or April would be safer?

I wonder if the floodings will persist throughout August September.

The flood peak has passed away no problem for the river cruise along the Yangtze right now and the ship keeps running everyday between Chongqing and Yichang.
